Effective
Nicotel Apartments is the accommodation business at 8C Tunde Ogbeha Street, Gudu, Abuja, Nigeria. For questions about this website or information you give the Nicotel team, call +234 908 744 0059, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, or write to that address, marked Privacy request.
This policy covers Nicotel’s website, direct booking service and information you send to the team about your stay. Paystack, WhatsApp and Instagram also have their own privacy notices for their services.
You do not need an account to browse. When you request a booking, the service records your name, email address, telephone number, dates, guest count, accommodation choice and booking status. The team uses these details to check your request and manage your stay. Please put only practical booking information in any notes. This website does not request identity-document uploads, precise location, camera or microphone access, or run advertising pixels or session recording. Optional Google Analytics measures public presentation pages only after you allow it; booking pages and booking details are excluded.
Card details are entered on Paystack’s hosted checkout. Nicotel’s booking application receives the payment reference, amount, currency and verification result; it does not store your full card number or card security code. A payment status is confirmed with Paystack before it becomes a verified receipt.
To deliver a page, the server and network services receive technical information such as your IP address, requested address, browser information and request time. Technical information may also be needed to investigate errors or abuse. The website application does not create visitor profiles or a guest access-log database. Infrastructure logging and retention depend on the hosting and network service; contact Nicotel for information about a particular request.
If you call or message us, we receive what you choose to share. For an initial enquiry, your preferred dates, accommodation type, guest count and one reply method are normally enough. Please do not send card security codes, passwords, unnecessary identity documents or medical records. A name and booking reference may be needed to locate a reservation. Tell us the practical assistance you need rather than a diagnosis.
Nicotel uses necessary enquiry and reservation information to respond to your request, take steps towards a booking or perform an agreed stay. Information needed for a specific legal obligation is used on that basis. Proportionate technical processing for reliable delivery and protection against abuse is based on legitimate interests, balanced against visitors’ rights.
This website does not enrol you in marketing, sell your information, or make automated decisions about your eligibility for accommodation. A booking enquiry is not marketing permission. Any future optional marketing or other activity requiring consent must have a separate, informed choice and an easy way to withdraw consent. Refusing optional consent must not prevent an ordinary enquiry.
Direct bookings on this website are recorded in Nicotel’s staff system. Authorised staff can access the information needed for reception, accommodation and finance duties. When you choose online payment, the server sends Paystack your email address, payment reference, amount and limited booking metadata to create checkout and verify the result. Paystack processes your payment details under its own privacy notice.
Hostinger provides the website and application hosting. The current hosting server is in the Netherlands, with hosting backups in Lithuania. Booking information and technical data may therefore be processed outside Nigeria. You may ask Nicotel about the recipients and safeguards relevant to your information.
WhatsApp and Instagram are external services operated by Meta. They receive information under their own terms when you use them. They are links here, not embedded feeds, chat widgets or tracking pixels. You can telephone Nicotel instead.
Information given to Nicotel should be available only to staff and contracted providers who need it to support your request or stay, and authorities where disclosure is legally required. External providers may process information outside Nigeria. Before Nicotel arranges an international transfer, it must establish the applicable legal safeguards; this notice is not blanket consent to an overseas transfer. You may ask for the recipients and safeguards relevant to your information.
Booking requests, payment records and staff actions are stored in Nicotel’s system. An expired temporary hold releases availability but does not immediately delete its record. Records may be needed to investigate a payment, resolve a complaint or meet legal record-keeping obligations. The team handles deletion or anonymisation requests; the application does not currently promise automatic deletion after a fixed period. A statutory obligation or legal hold may prevent immediate deletion.
You may ask Nicotel which records it holds, the retention period or criteria for each record, and whether a provider also holds a copy. Paystack and messaging services may hold their own records; requests concerning those copies may also need to go to that provider.
Subject to the conditions in Nigerian data protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful beforehand. There is no automated guest decision-making on this website.
Use the contact details above and describe your request. Provide only enough information to identify the relevant records. If verification is needed, Nicotel should ask only for proportionate proof through an appropriate channel, not unnecessary documents in an open message. Requests must be handled within the applicable legal time limit; reasons must be given where a lawful exception applies.
You can complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng. You do not have to resolve a complaint with Nicotel first. This policy does not limit that right or other legal remedies.
This website is for people arranging accommodation, not for collecting information from children. Do not submit a child’s personal information in an initial enquiry. If information about a child is needed for a family stay, the team must first explain the need and appropriate guardian-consent process.
No website or communication service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending sensitive information in an ordinary message. Report suspected misuse using the contact details above. Material policy changes will be published with an updated date; a changed notice does not retrospectively create consent for a new purpose.
